FAQs

When are the sessions happening?

There is one Morning Session and one Evening Session every week, and these occur on the same day.

Sessions happen in the evening from 7:30PM - 9:30PM (BST).

In order to avoid disappointment, make sure to register by 6PM (BST) the day before the session you want to attend.

Do I need to stay for the whole time?

You are free to come and go as you please!

Will there be a time to share writing?

Short answer, no.

Slightly longer answer is that these are meant to be intentional times during your day where you can sit down and write. Your writing is your own. Think of it like a virtual coffee shop where people are sitting at their table working on their own stuff alongside you.

What do I need to join a session?

You will need a Zoom account to be able to log into the session, this is so the sessions can be safe and secure. If you do not have a Zoom account, you can register for one here: https://zoom.us/freesignup.

Do I need to have my camera on?

Not if you don’t want to, most people do not have their cameras on. The last thing you should be is uncomfortable in these sessions. It is completely up to you if you want to have your camera on or off.

Why are you charging for sessions?

If you are an OG, then you will know that these sessions used to be completely free to attend. However, a lot of effort and work goes into these sessions and it wasn’t sustainable to keep offering them without charge. We have a pay what you can scale for pricing, which includes registering at no cost.

When will I be sent the link for the session?

In order to make the sessions as safe and secure as possible, a new link will be sent out before each session. There will be a waiting room and as long as you have registered you will be let in asap.

If the session you signed up for has started and you have still not been sent a link, send us an email.

What kind of music do you play?

When you join a session a curated playlist will be playing. However if you don’t want to listen to it or don’t like the music you can turn off the audio for Aathegither’s video.

The music we play varies from classical bangers, to lofi remixes from ATLA, to music from video games, to covers of pop songs. All of the songs are instrumental except for the very last song which has lyrics. We do this to help let you know that the session is coming to an end and to send you back off into your day.
