Writing can be a lonely practice, but it doesn’t have to be… Aathegither was created to offer a shared experience from the comfort of your own home.

These are meant to be times where you can come as you are, where you are in your project, where ever you are in the world, and for a part of your day intentionally devote your time to your writing.

We are currently on a festive hiatus, however new 2024 sessions soon! In the meantime, all of our past playlists are available for you to use whenever you would like and sign up to the newsletter to know when Jan ‘24 sessions drop.

How It Started

Back in 2020 the pandemic had completely flipped everything upside down and I was midway through a doctorate program in creative writing. As a process, writing can be incredibly isolating under normal circumstances and with the first wave of the pandemic the usual haunts of cafes, libraries, and pubs were no longer an option. My creative practice came to a grinding halt. I found myself missing and searching for a space that would deliver a similar feeling of community while staying home. That’s when I created Aathegither- virtual sessions that could offer a space where writers and creatives could come together and find that supportive community to encourage and lift each other up while getting words on the page.

During the course of 2020 and 2021 Aathegither provided a varying range of sessions, including daily sessions during the month of November in honor of NaNoWriMo. While the frequency changes several elements stayed the same throughout- morning and evening sessions, curated playlists, and an amazing group of people showing up and holding space for each other.

Aathegither then went into hiatus in early 2022 due to life circumstances, but sessions are back, better, and more sustainable than ever.

While we are at a point where cafes, libraries, pubs etc are available again, Aathegither continues to offer a space for people to find community and write from the comfort of their own home.
